Faculty of Nursing participates in the National Campaign for the spring vaccine against polio organized by the Karbala Holy Health Department Center

The students of the fourth stage participated in the Community Health Nursing Department at the Faculty of Nursing at Karbala University in the National Campaign for the Polio Vaccine Campaign organized by the Karbala Holy Health Department, under the supervision of Dr. Ali Karim Al-Jubouri, Dean of the College and Dr. Salman Hussein Faris Al-Kriti. Ismail is one of the teachers of the college.
Dr. Salman Hussein Faris Al-Kraiti, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, said: “This campaign came at the invitation of the Karbala Health Department / the center of our community to participate in it.” He added that polio is a contagious viral disease transmitted from one person to another, The virus enters the body through the mouth or nose, and then multiples the throat and intestines and then is absorbed by the body and passes through the blood to the rest of the body. He said: In the case of the spread of the virus in the body also reaches the spinal cord, The front of the spinal cord Siolh muscle movement) and in this sense the seriousness of this disease on the individual and the community participated in this campaign, students of our college.
He added that polio vaccines work to strengthen the human immune system, which gives the body immunity for life against the disease, and thus protect the individual recipients of the vaccine and the whole community of the disease and this is our goal of this campaign.
