A scientific symposium at the Faculty of Nursing entitled: Social networking sites and their impact on society

The Faculty of Nursing organized a seminar on “social networking sites and its impact on the community” in cooperation between the mental health and mental health nursing branches. The seminar was organized by Dr. Ali Karim Al-Jubouri, Dean of the College and Dr. Salman Hussain Fares Al-Kraiti, Dean’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs.

For his part, Dr. Salman Hussein Faris Al-Kraiti, Dean’s Assistant for Scientific Affairs, said during his lecture that the websites have negative aspects. They have many positive aspects, such as exchanging ideas between different cultures and expanding opportunities to participate in expressing opinions. The two friends, who have been disconnected from them and considered a door to companies and institutions to promote their advertisements and products, but at the same time warned against using them excessively because the human will reach a state of addiction to electronic.
The seminar recommended the activation of the educational role and the intensification of awareness lectures for educational institutions on communication sites and how to deal with them in a way that does not affect negatively on future generations, and the development of entertainment centers for youth and children, activating extra-curricular activities and others.
