ABSTRACT II
ABSTRACT
Dysentery is a clinical presentation of inflammation of the large
intestine characterized by diarrhea (>3 loose stools in a 24-h period) with
blood and/or mucus in stool associated with abnormal crumps, painful
straining (tenesmus) and fever (LoubialaPJ, et al, 1997).
A descriptive study design was carried out at Imam Hussein (Pbh)
Medical City and Pediatric Teaching Hospital in Holy Karbala Province, to
assessment Nurses Knowledge About Amoebic Dysentery from period 6\2\
2018 to 8\ 2\ 2018.
A non-probability (purposive) sample of (80) nurse who out at Imam
Hussein (Pbh) Medical City and Pediatric Teaching Hospital in Holy
Karbala Province.
The data were analyzed through the application of descriptive and
inferential statistical analysis procedures by using the statistical package for
social science (IMB SPSS) version 23

The study recommends that's Training and developing nurses' skills
about amoebic dysentery and how to treat it. Continuing periodic
assessment of nurses' knowledge of dysentery and Mass media should have
an increasing role in nurse’s education about amoebic dysentery
