 A master’s thesis at the College of Nursing at the University of Kerbala examined “the effect of prostration and coughing exercises on the level of shortness of breath, persistent cough and cardio-pulmonary indicators among unintubated patients infected with Corona virus-19” by the student (Haider Nawaf Abdul Ali), one of the postgraduate students in the College of Nursing at the University of Kerbala for the academic year 2020-2021, the thesis included the implementation of an experimental study in the halls of the emerging corona virus-19 in the Imam Husseiniya Medical City for the period from October 25, 2021 to May 1, 2022, and the samples were selected using the systematic random method, where the study sample included 60 patients who participated in 30 Including in an experimental group and 30 other patients as a control group, the study aimed to investigate the effect of prostration and coughing exercises on the level of shortness of breath, persistent coughing and cardio-pulmonary effects among patients not intubated with the emerging corona virus-19. The study recommended the necessity of performing the prostration position and coughing exercises one hour every four hours for unintubated patients suffering from the emerging corona virus-19 who suffer from shortness of breath and persistent cough.
