Under the sponsorship of Professor Dr. Ali Karim Khudair Al-Jubouri, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Karbala, and the follow-up of Assistant Professor Dr. Salman Hussein Faris Al-Guraiti, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division at the college. The Maternal and Newborn Nursing Branch at the College of Nursing, in cooperation with the Women’s Empowerment Unit, organized a scientific awareness symposium on “breast cancer,” in which the lecturer, Dr. Sajida Saadoun Aliwi, Head of the Maternal and Newborn Nursing Branch, and the Head of the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the College of Nursing, lectured. For her part, Dr. Sajida Saadoun explained that the symposium was held within the annual curriculum of activities affiliated with the Women’s Empowerment Unit at the college, coinciding with the month of October, Cancer Awareness Month, and the necessity of holding seminars and courses to educate women about the disease and how to be examined early to avoid the development of cases of infection and treat them in a timely manner.
