A field visit to the Pediatric Nursing department with posrgraduate students of the Al-Hussein Autism Institute affiliate to the Holy Shrine of Husseiniy’s

Under the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Ali Kareem Al-Juboori, Dean of the College of Nursing/University of Kerbala, the Pediatric Nursing department in our college made a field visit for postgraduate students to the Al-Hussein Center of the Imam Hussain Holy Shrine in Kerbala, accompanied by the teachers of the Pediatric Nursing department , the teacher Dr.Zaki Sabah Musaihib and the assistant teacher. Hassan Soud Abdulhussain Where the meeting was held with the director of the center, Mrs. Shatha Al-Zwaini, who spoke with a brief about the center, which was founded by the martyr Dr. Haider Al-Zwaini, which provides services for children with autism, autism spectrum and hyperactivity from various governorates of Iraq, and praised the direct support of the legitimate guardian of the Holy Husseiniy’s Shrine. The number of students at the institute is 150 boys and girls, who are classified according to the severity of the injury, and then an integrated rehabilitation program is applied to them, from behavior modification to their speech training. Then the students were briefed on the cases registered at the institute, as well as the quality of services provided by the center and the activities for rehabilitating children with autism, which are among the main axes of pediatric nursing for the second semester. The students participated in some paragraphs in which the children were encouraged. At the end of the visit, everyone praised the great role played by the administration and teachers of the institute, who have great experience in dealing with these cases and reintegrating them into society and following them up after graduating from the institute.
