The College of Nursing / University of Kerbala holds a symposium entitled (Violence against Women)

 Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel Al-Saidi, and under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Ali Kareem Al-Juboori, the college held a scientific symposium entitled “Violence against Women” in which the Assistant Professor Dr. Safi Dakhil Nawam, Head of the Fundamentals of Nursing department , addressed several topics in The symposium included that Islam rejects all forms of violence against women, including domestic violence, and emphasized the need to honor and protect women. Many questions were raised, why is the phenomenon of “violence against women” increasing in the Islamic world? What is the relationship between Islam and the spread of this phenomenon? Is Islam responsible for the practice of violence in Islamic societies, as it is a religion adopted by Muslims in regulating thoughts and behavior? What are the principles adopted by Islam to deal with the phenomenon of violence and violence against women? How can violence against women be combated and their societal role enhanced? The symposium was attended by many teachers, staff and students.
