Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ali Kareem Khudhair, Dean of the College of Nursing, the scientific departments in the College of Nursing organized voluntary medical detachments to serve visitors during the fortieth visit of Imam Al-Hussein, peace be upon him, and the teacher Ali Jabbar Abdel-Hussein said, a medical detachment was organized in cooperation with Al-sayida Zainab Al-Kubra Eye Surgical Center to follow up Assistant Professor Dr. Fatima Makki Mahmoud, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Nursing, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Khamis Bandar Obaid, Head of the Pediatric Nursing department , Dr. Zaki Sabah Musaib, Head of the Basic Sciences department , and a number of volunteer nursing students. He added that the students were divided into two groups, each group participating in a medical screening with participation.
It is noteworthy that the official of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit, the teacher, Ali Jabbar Al-Moussawi, announced earlier that a training course would be held for students wishing to volunteer in the medical detachments during the fortieth visit to visit the Master of Martyrs and his brother Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas, peace be upon them, where the two departments of Fundamentals of Nursing and Adult Nursing held a training course at the College of Nursing for students wishing to volunteer for a period of four days, which included several axes, including training on the basics of saving life and familiarization with the medicines used in medical units. The course also included learning about first aid for wounds and fractures, and how to deal with cases of food poisoning, suffocation and difficulty breathing. It is noteworthy that the College of Nursing participates in medical detachments, in cooperation with the Kerbala Health Directorate , in the millions of visits that the holy city of Kerbala is witnessing.
