The Pediatric Nursing Branch of the College of Nursing announced the conclusion of the three-day training course on neonatal care, which has held under the patronage and supervision of Prof. Dr. Ali Karim Khudair, Dean of the College of Nursing, and the follow-up of Prof. Dr. Khamis Bandar Obaid, Head of the Pediatric Nursing Branch, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division in the College of Nursing. With the participation of the branch’s teachers, assistant lecturer QasimKadhim and assistant lecturer EtidalQasim, the course dealt with several axes where it was clarified how to deal with a newborn child in health institutions or at home by the mother and the importance of breastfeeding and personal hygiene for infants. Moreover, how to deal with some cases that the infant may be exposed to, such as suffocation by a foreign body, essential tips for raising newborns, how to care for newborns, and daily care of the child. Several college professors, staff, and students participated in the course in the hall of the College of Nursing.
