Assist. Prof. Dr. Hassan Abdullah Azabi, Head of the Adult Nursing Branch of Karbala University Faculty of Nursing, participated as a member and supervisor in the discussion session of Master For” Ala Sabri Mohammed” entitled “Impact of lifestyle factors and body mass index on disease severity and recurrent infection among patients infected with coronavirus-19”, The purpose of this study was to assess the effects of lifestyle factors and body mass index on disease severity and recurrent infection in patients with coronavirus pneumonia. The results show that unhealthy lifestyles are related to physical activity, stress management and environmental exposure. There are significant relationships between lifestyle factors and disease severity, and between disease severity and socio-demographic and clinical data of patients. The study concluded that critical condition is the main characteristic of coronavirus patients, and the study recommended educating people at the community level about the impact of lifestyle factors on the severity of the disease. Thereby pursuing a healthy lifestyle, especially in physical activity, stress management and environmental exposure to reduce the severity of illness, the student achieved excellent degree , and the Committee praised her great efforts and justified her mission. Notably, Dr. Hussam Abbas Dawood, an associate professor at the School of Nursing, was a member of the discussion group.
