Karbala University discusses master’s thesis on the impact of lifestyle factors and body mass index on disease severity

 
Karbala University /Faculty of Nursing, discussed master’s thesis  entitled “The impact of lifestyle factors and body mass index on the severity of disease and recurrent infection among patients infected with covid -19 “For ” Alaa Sabri Mohammed”, aims to assess the impact of lifestyle factors and body mass index on the severity of disease and recurrent infection among patients infected with covid -19 . The results of the study showed an unhealthy lifestyle related to physical activity and dealing with stress and environmental exposure. The existence of an important relationship between lifestyle factors and the severity of the disease and the severity of the disease with the social, demographic and clinical data of patients,  The study tools included three main parts: The first includes socio-demographic and medical data, second consists of 27 elements to measure lifestyle factors; The third includes the covid -19  severity index.
The study concluded that the critical condition is the main feature among coronavirus-19 patients, and recommended the importance of educating people at the community level about the impact of lifestyle factors on the severity of the disease, thus following a healthy lifestyle, especially with regard to physical activity, coping with stress and environmental exposure to reduce the level of disease severity.
