The Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs at the College of Nursing participates in a master’s thesis discussion session

 Assistant Professor Dr. Fatima Makki Mahmoud, Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, as a member, supervisor, and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Hossam Abbas Daoud, one of the teachers of the Adult Nursing Department at the College of Nursing, participated in a discussion session for the master’s student (Abbas Bakal Hammoud) tagged “The effect of applying ice bag with direct pressure in the prevention of Early complications after removal of the femoral sheath for cardiac catheterization “The thesis aims to identify cardiac catheterization commonly for the diagnosis and treatment of acute coronary syndrome, which usually leads to early complications of this procedure to increase hospitalization time and costs. It is reported that the discussion took place on Wednesday, 9/7/2022 in the postgraduate Studies Hall at the College of Nursing, and the thesis was accepted and obtained an excellent degree.
The thesis recommended instructions for making an ice pack by direct pressure after removing the femoral sheath to reduce the severity of bleeding, hematoma, bruising and pain. Another study should be conducted to verify the benefit of applying the ice pack with direct pressure over other interventional procedures such as removing the arteriovenous fistula, the central venous line and the arterial line.
