The College of Nursing at the University of Karbala organizes a training seminar on (Civil Defense Work)

 Under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Salman Hussein Fares Al-Guraiti, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Karbala, the College of Nursing at the University of Karbala organized a training guidance seminar entitled (Civil Defense Work) in cooperation with the Directorate of Civil Defense in Karbala, with the participation of Assistant Professor Dr. Zaki Sabah Musaib, Head of the Basic Sciences Branch in the College of Nursing, and a number From teachers, employees and students. The symposium, which was held in cooperation with the Civil Defense Directorate in Holy Karbala, aimed to introduce the work of civil defense, protect the lives of civilians, limit the damage that may befall the civilian population, and train citizens and relief workers on treating fires and providing assistance during the occurrence of fires or disasters, in addition to installing (fire) alarm devices. and prepare and plan for emergency assistance or evacuation. The symposium highlighted the necessity of having an extinguisher cylinder in homes and public places and training on its use to deal with fires in a timely manner to extinguish small fires before the flames spread in the place. The symposium touched on the tasks carried out by civil defense personnel and the necessity of having sensors, in addition to the presence of extinguishers with different functions. Their presence is necessary in closed and small spaces, because of their ability to extinguish fires at their beginnings, before the flames escalate and spread. Present at the course were Lieutenant Colonel Maitham Ali Hussein from the Civil Defense Directorate, and Mr. Muhammad Saleh Mahdi, official of the Civil Defense Division of the Diwan Department at the University of Karbala.
