The Committee of Deans of Nursing Colleges in Iraq holds its regular meeting at the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad

The Committee of Deans of Colleges of Nursing in Iraq held its regular meeting in the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad on Saturday, 1/27/2023. The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim, Dean of the College of Nursing/University of Baghdad, Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Nursing in Iraq, and in the presence of the deans of colleges. Discussing the evaluation examinations and cooperation mechanisms between public and private nursing colleges, and the colleges’ preparations for the evaluation examination in order for these examinations to pass smoothly and with high accuracy in order to achieve the scientific sobriety that the educational process seeks. 2. Forming a committee from within the Deans’ Committee to coordinate with the Chairman of the Curricula Development and Modernization Committee regarding developing and modernizing nursing curricula 3. Discussing urging public and private nursing colleges to complete national accreditation requirements 4. Developing the educational process in nursing colleges, and raising the level of professional performance of nurses in Iraq. 5. Discussing the introduction of specialized postgraduate studies in some universities. The deans of the colleges concluded the meeting by confirming preparations for the evaluation exams for preliminary studies and preparing what is necessary for the success of the academic year, stressing the necessity of exchanging academic and scientific experiences between colleges in the service of the scientific and educational process.
