Karbala University celebrates Arab and foreign students accepted into its colleges

 The University of Karbala organized a ceremony to receive Arab and foreign students accepted into the university’s colleges as part of the Study in Iraq initiative, in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel Al-Saeedi, his assistants for scientific and administrative affairs, Professor Dr. Najm Abdul Hussein Al-Janabi, Professor Dr. Akram Mohsen Al-Yasiri, and the deans of the colleges. The ceremony was attended by a group of Arab and foreign students from various countries, most notably Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Yemen, Nigeria, Iran, India, and Burkina Faso. Dr. Bassem Al-Saeedi stated in his speech during the ceremony, “The Study in Iraq initiative, which was launched by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, aims to receive students of different nationalities and allow them to continue their university studies in a way that strengthens cultural and academic relations between Iraq and the world.” Al-Saidi pointed out that the university, since its establishment, has sought to expand its scientific activities and cultural relations, by building bridges of cooperation with various international academic institutions. He explained that the university is constantly working to develop academic programs and adopt modern methods and curricula to create an academic generation capable of adapting to changes in order to achieve sustainability in various fields. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research launched the “Study in Iraq” initiative last year, to open scientific horizons with international academic institutions to benefit the academic field.
