The College of Nursing at the University of Karbala, in cooperation with the Scientific Division, organized a scientific symposium on the role of women in preserving the environment, with the participation of a group of researchers and specialists and the presence of college students. The symposium, in which Assistant Lecturer Sherine Aweez lectured, introduced the participants to the role of women in preserving the environment. The symposium participants discussed that preserving the environment is an individual responsibility before it is a collective responsibility borne by all members of society, in addition to the role of bodies and institutions in preserving the environment and its natural resources. The symposium included an emphasis on the role of the media in raising environmental awareness to reduce the pollution crisis and its risks that threaten human life in light of technological developments and their repercussions.
