Mr. Dean of the College of Nursing, Assistant Professor Dr. Salman Hussein Faris Al-Ghariti, participated in the sixth and first periodic meeting for the academic year 2024-2025 for deans of nursing colleges in Iraq, in the presence of deans of nursing colleges from various Iraqi universities.
The meeting included in its agenda a discussion of several topics, including: ways to develop academic curricula in line with the modern requirements of the nursing sector, and a review of the latest teaching methods and practical training to enhance students’ skills and better qualify them to keep pace with developments in the field of health care.
The meeting also included an exchange of ideas on developing educational programs that contribute to improving the quality of education and raising the level of nursing college graduates, with a focus on innovation in learning methods and increasing opportunities for cooperation between colleges and health institutions. And other topics raised on its agenda, which were voted on and submitted to the relevant authorities in the ministry for approval.
The meeting witnessed the introduction of several initiatives related to enhancing scientific research and increasing practical training opportunities for students, which contributes to improving the quality of health services and qualifying professional cadres to enable them to face health challenges in the future.
