The President of the University, Professor Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali Al-Sayed, honored the Dean of the College of Nursing, Chairman of the Institutional Accreditation Committee at the University of Karbala, Assistant Professor Dr. Salman Hussein Faris Al-Gariti, today, Thursday, December 26, 2024, on the occasion of the university being granted institutional accreditation by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
According to the letter of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the university has obtained institutional accreditation.
The letter indicated that “with reference to the approval of His Excellency the Honorable Minister of the minutes of meeting No. (38) of the Institutional Accreditation Council and the powers granted to the Council under Ministerial Order (299) on 3/13/2023, it was decided to grant the University of Karbala institutional accreditation.
For his part, the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, praised the efforts of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, in addition to the contribution of the university staff, professors and employees, in achieving excellence and their keenness to raise the name and status of the university at the local and international levels.
It is noteworthy that institutional accreditation is granted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to the academic institution that has met the scientific standards set by the Ministry, including that it has effective systems to ensure quality and continuous improvement of its academic activities in accordance with the published controls.
