As part of its scientific activities, the College of Nursing at the University of Kerbala organized a workshop titled “DNA Extraction from Blood,” under the supervision of Dean Dr. Selman Hussain Faris.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Asaad Abbas Khalaf and Lecturer Sara Star Jabar, covered both theoretical and practical aspects of DNA extraction, highlighting its importance in research and medical applications. It included a detailed explanation of isolation and extraction steps using biological samples, along with a practical demonstration.
This workshop aims to enhance students’ practical skills and familiarize them with modern techniques used in biological laboratories and research.
