The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the 2025 Iraqi University Rankings. Among public universities, the University of Baghdad ranked first, followed by the University of Technology and the University of Basra. Among private universities, Al-Mustaqbal University came first, followed by Warith Al-Anbiya University and the Islamic University.
The ranking evaluated 103 institutions based on nine criteria, including research effectiveness, accreditation, global rankings, sustainability, and international diversity.
