College of Nursing students continue their practical training in health institutions Under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Nursing, Assistant Professor Dr. Salman Hussein Faris Al-Guraiti and the follow-up of Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Abdullah Athbi, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies at the College of Nursing at the University of Karbala. On Thursday, March 7, 2024, practical training took place for students in the emergency department in Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Medical City under the supervision of Professor Dr. Fatima Makki Mahmoud, head of the adult nursing branch, and the specialist university nurse, Abbas Baqal, the trainer in Operating theaters. Training in the emergency department includes training students in clinical practices on how to deal with various emergency internal and surgical cases. The training included applying sterilization and surgical washing procedures, preparing instruments, and training them on the nursing care provided to patients during surgical operations.
