Within the activities of Leadership Week The College of Nursing organizes a training course on first aid The College of Nursing, University of Karbala, organized an in-person training course on “First Aid for the Injured,” which lasts for three days, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Division. The course aims to raise awareness about the importance of first aid in saving lives, provide assistance skills during medical emergencies, and encourage learning first aid for all members of society, with the need to raise awareness of the most important domestic and external accidents and first aid methods for them. The course included training participants on how to administer first aid to the injured, treat them, introduce them to the basics of first aid, and gain the ability to provide appropriate treatment for the purpose of preserving the life of the injured person and reducing the consequences of the injury until medical assistance arrives. In the course, the researchers called for the necessity of learning and introducing citizens to first aid and the ability to treat the injured in the correct ways, while gaining the ability to provide appropriate treatment for injuries that do not require the care of a doctor or nurse. Professor Dr. Ali Karim Khudair Al-Jubouri, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Karbala, said that coinciding with the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the colle noge will witness the holding of many courses, exhibitions, and discussion seminars with the participation of heads of scientific branches and a number of faculty members.
